WHAT IS NEXOSENSE?

Nexosense is an advanced bushfire detection system, designed to be the a first line of defense against naturally occurring bushfires. Incorporating leading edge innovative design whilst maintaining cost-efficiency as well as long term reliability; makes Nexosense the future of advanced bushfire detection.

THE HOW?

Nexosense system is comprised of cost-effective automated miniature sensors that are strategically deployed within a target area. The sensors have the inbuilt capability to report real-time environmental and GPS location data within the monitored area.

Environmental conditions are monitored continuously throughout the grid in order to detect what is referred to as ‘trigger’ events which provide the very first signs that a natural fire disaster is about to happen. These trigger events include specific changes in temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure variations.

These ‘trigger’ events are then transmitted live through to the monitoring centre; which gives the relevant authorities and residents maximum possible time to act quickly. As we all know, in crisis situations, minutes can mean the difference between life and death. Live alerts can be delivered to interested parties via web portals, live maps or even text messages.

WHY NEXOSENSE?

Apart from being the first of its kind in advanced preventative fire detection, these are just a few reasons why Nexosense is revolutionizing the way bush fires are detected and tracked:

Rapid Detection

  • Trigger events are detected and sent via dedicated communication channels to relevant parties within seconds of occurrence.
  • Advanced warning service ahead of the fire event, vs ‘after the fact’ warning products currently available in the market.

Superior Mobility & Scalability

  • Our sensors can be deployed in almost any target area via drones or helicopters. Never before has there been such access to vital data within dense bushland.
  • A Nexosense system covering an area of 10 square kilometres, can be covered in a matter of a few days via airdropping the sensors using drones, operated from vantage points within a desired target area
  • The system is fully scalable both in terms of coverage area and density regardless of initial deployment scale.

Designed for Resilience

  • Due to power efficiency and built in long range wireless communication capability; the sensors can operate independently,.
  • In the event that several sensors go offline, the overall system can maintain its functionality, with very little impact on performance. Integrity.
  • The “grid” can be remotely adjusted to account for sensors lost to fire.

Exceptional Value Offering

  • Nexosense sensors have a lifespan of 10 years, with zero sensor maintenance cost.
  • Deployment, operational and maintenance costs are extremely competitive. This is made possible by innovatively simplistic design of our sensors; removing the need for complex infrastructure of power and data which come at a high CAPEX and OPEX in remote and vast areas which require critical monitoring.
  • Cost efficient replacement options for re-deployment of malfunctioning sensors.
  • Significant price difference between our grid system and a satellite based system; even though the data provided is the same.

Future Sustainability

  • Each of our sensors use 2 x standard AA batteries and can operate under normal reporting conditions (non-fire events) for up to 10 years. All materials or batteries and circuits in each sensor are made with our planet in mind ensuring no harmful chemicals have been used. All units comply with RoHS and REACH directives.
  • The sensors eventually disintegrate back into the ground once they cease to function.
